Cameron Killiany

Manufacturing and biomedical engineer. I work on the messy middle of product development: taking a design that works once and making it work a thousand times.

I'm a manufacturing / NPI / quality engineer working on medical devices and defense hardware. Most of what I do lives at the boundary between engineering and production: process development, first-article and validation work, regulatory documentation, and the configuration management that keeps a build from drifting away from its drawing.

My background is biomedical engineering (B.S., University of Vermont, 2023, with a mathematics minor), with coursework and research in cell, tissue, and organ biomechanics. I'm currently finishing a master's thesis modeling disease progression with dynamical systems.

Outside of work I build things in a home shop with a 3D printer, microcontrollers, and an electronics bench. Some of those end up on this site.

  • Process development and scrap reduction on elastomer and coated components
  • Manufacturing execution and traceability systems
  • PDM / configuration management for brownfield part libraries
  • FEA and continuum modeling (Code_Aster / salome_meca)
  • Regulatory and quality documentation under ISO 9001 and FDA QSR
